Thank you for your interest in presenting at the ICASS XII in Nuuk, Greenland, May 31 to June 4, 2027.

Under the theme “Our Arctic – Our Future: Coming Together”, ICASS XII welcomes contributions addressing a broad spectrum of Arctic issues, from geopolitics and economic development to environmental change, Indigenous rights, and social and cultural challenges.

Important Dates

  • Abstract submission deadline: December 31, 2026
  • Notification of acceptance: March 2027
  • Conference registration deadline: April 30, 2027

How to Submit

  • Submit an abstract via Oxford Abstracts
  • Create an Oxford Abstracts account (or log into an existing account)
  • Complete and submit the abstract submission form
  • Please read instructions for each question carefully before completing the form.

Session Proposal Requirements

Please ensure that your submission includes:

  • Session title
  • Session abstract describing the theme and objectives (maximum 250 words)
  • A list of presenters, affiliations and presentation titles (titles can be preliminary)
  • Name and affiliation of Session Chair

Individual Presentation Submission Requirements

Please ensure that your submission includes:

  • Presentation title
  • Author name(s)
  • Affiliation(s)
  • Contact email
  • Abstract text (maximum 250 words.
  • Keywords (2-4)

Please Note

  • Make sure you have the correct option (Individual Presentation or Session) chosen in the categorising question (first question).
  • Each individual presentation should not exceed 15 minutes.
  • Each session should not exceed 60 minutes.
  • Accepted individual presentation proposals will be grouped into thematic sessions.

After Submission

  • You will receive an automatic confirmation email.
  • You can edit your submission until December 31, 2026.
  • We will review your submission.
  • Accepted presenters will receive confirmation in early March 2027.
